Strength Is Asking for Help

I used to think asking for help meant I was weak. I thought strong people figured it out alone.

I was wrong. Some of the bravest things I did were small asks. Asking where to find a meal. Asking about a program. Asking someone to just listen.

Pride kept me stuck longer than anything else. The day I let go of a little of it, doors started opening that I didn't even know were there.

If you need help, ask. Ask again if the first person says no. Asking is not giving up. It's refusing to give up. That lesson runs all through UNLOCKED.
